  1. General provisions
    1. The present Privacy policy regulates the key principles and procedures for processing your personal data by Rūta Pumputienė Law firm, address Vilniaus St. 31, 01402 Vilnius, Lithuania (hereinafter – the Law firm) in relation to your use of the internet website http://www.rplawfirm.lt/ (hereinafter – the Law firm website).
    2. The present Privacy policy is designed to introduce you to the processing of your personal data by the Law firm. Personal data mean any information, on the basis of which you are or may be identified (hereinafter – the personal data). When you contact our Law firm we save your contact data, i.e. name, surname, e-mail address, tel. no.
    3. This document is accessible any time at the website of the Law firm, you may also download it from the website and have it printed.
    4. The Law firm is the controller of your personal data.
    5. The procedure for collecting, processing and storage of your personal data is defined by the present Privacy policy, the Law on Legal Protection of Personal Data of the Republic of Lithuania, and, starting from 25 May 2018, also the General Data Protection Regulation No. 2016/679 (hereinafter – GDPR), as well as other legal acts.
    6. By using the present website, you recognise that you have been informed that the Law firm will manage and process your personal data by means, also for the purposes and in the procedure set forth in the present policy.
    7. The Law firm acts in accordance with the following personal data processing principles:
      1. your personal data are processed lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner;
      2. the personal data shall be collected for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes and not further processed in a manner that is incompatible with those purposes;
      3. the data shall be adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary in relation to the purposes for which they are processed;

        1. you have given consent, or when it is reasonable to conclude you have agreed that the data are used for a specific purpose;
        2. a contract has been concluded or is being implemented, in which you are one of the parties;
        3. processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the Law firm, or by a third party, except where such interests are overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject which require protection of personal data;
        4. processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which the Law firm is subject;

    8. The website of the Law firm may be used by:
      1. all natural persons with full legal capacity and are at least 18 years of age;
      2. legal persons;
      3. representatives of all the above persons.
  2. Collecting and other processing of data, and data retention period
    1. The Law firm respects every person’s right to privacy. Your personal data are collected and otherwise processed for the following purposes:
      1. to provide legal services;
      2. direct marketing purposes;
      3. the information obtained or generated through your use of the Law firm’s website, as indicated in Item 3 – for the purpose specified therein.
    2. Your personal data shall be kept as long as it is necessary to achieve the objectives of the processing, but not longer than 10 years.

  3. Methods of obtaining information

    2. The data are provided by the data subject, as well as legal persons: clients (corporates), public and municipal institutions, entities, funds, organisations and public registers
  4. Use of personal data for marketing (advertising and market research) purposes
    1. The Law firm sends newsletters with the information about the Law firm, offers and inquires the opinion of its clients on the services being proposed.
    2. Provided you give your explicit consent to the use of your personal data for direct marketing purposes (advertising and market research), then your personal data will be saved and used for purposes.
    3. Provided you have given your explicit consent to the use of your personal data for direct marketing purposes (advertising and market research), that means that you authorised the Law firm to send you by mail promotion material on the services offered on the website by mail.
    4. Provided you have given your explicit consent to the use of your personal data for direct marketing purposes, the Law firm may use your data for analysing and improving the efficiency of its websites, advertising and market efficiency, and other marketing and sales promotion purposes.
  5. Transfer of personal data to third parties

Your personal data may be used by the data processors of the Law firm – server operation provider, website administrator and the companies delivering postal consignments – to the extent necessary to perform their functions. The Law firm has a right to transfer personal data to third parties only in the procedure and on the basis set forth by laws and other effective legal acts of the Republic of Lithuania.
    2. The Law firm guarantees that your data shall not be transferred to any third parties in order to obtain benefit. The Law firm, however, reserves the right to provide information about you in case the Law firm is obliged to in the manner set forth by law, or if so requested by authorities legitimately operating or conducting a criminal prosecution.

  6. Your rights
    1. Please be advised that you at any time have a right to obtain confirmation that your personal data are being processed, request access to your personal data processed, also learn how the data are processed, and request erasure of inaccurate or incomplete data.
    2. You also have a right to request, on the basis set forth in the GDPR, that your personal data are erased (the right to be forgotten) or restrict your personal data processing.
    3. In case your personal data are processed because that is necessary for the purpose of concluding or executing a contract with you, you have a right to the transferability of your data.
    4. You have a right for reasons specifically related to your case, at any time to object to processing of your personal data required for the purpose of attaining our legitimate interests. In case you object, the data controller shall no longer process your personal data, data unless the controller demonstrates compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override the interests, rights and freedoms of the data subject or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
    5. In case your personal data are processed based on your consent regarding the processing of your personal data. the withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. In case you object or withdraw your consent regarding the processing of personal data for direct marketing purposes, such data processing shall be discontinued, and your profile and personal data shall be destroyed.

You may exercise the above rights by applying to the Law firm in person, or in writing at the address Vilniaus St. 31, 01402, Vilnius, or by e-mail infro@arpk.lt, producing your identity documents, or their authenticated copies. Having received your request regarding the processing of your personal data the Law firm shall reply to you within not later than one month of your request day. You also have a right to file a complaint to a competent supervisory authority – the State Data Protection Inspectorate.

  8. Amendments of the Privacy policy
    1. The Law firm shall have a right to unilaterally completely or partly amend the Privacy policy, by making a relevant announcement thereof on the website of the Law firm.
    2. If you object to the processing of personal data according to the new wording of the Privacy policy, you may exercise the rights specified above relating to your personal data processing.
    3. Any amendments and supplements to the present Privacy policy shall come into force as of their publication date, i.e. from the date of their uploading on the website of the Law firm.
